Salvator Futurum is a contemporary reimagining of Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi—carried forward into our era of distance, technology, and fragile hope. In place of the classical figure, an astronaut floats between past and future: a modern symbol of exploration, isolation, and humanity’s ongoing search for meaning. The familiar blessing hand remains, now reaching out from a silent cosmos, framed by radiant golden lines that echo both halo and starburst.

The work holds a quiet tension between faith and science, Renaissance devotion and contemporary uncertainty. Against the deep blue of infinity, the reflective helmet becomes a mirror—inviting the viewer to see themselves inside the question the painting asks: who is saving whom now? This is not parody or nostalgia, but evolution—reverent, bold, and contemplative at once.
