THE PRACTICE
Hande Ugur explores identity, cultural transformation, emotion and contemporary life through vivid colour, layered imagery and playful visual tension. With a background in art and sociology, she brings social observation and personal narrative together in works that feel immediate and open to interpretation.
Perspective is central to her practice. Her paintings shift as the viewer moves, revealing new layers of meaning, emotion and story from different angles. Her signature Handecular works and lenticular pieces turn viewing into an active, personal encounter.
SELECTED EXHIBITIONS & PRESS
Her work has been exhibited internationally at Art Miami, Red Dot Art Fair, Artexpo New York, Art Santa Fe and Contemporary Istanbul, and featured in publications including Art Market Magazine and Art Business News.
